One of Ireland’s leading main contractors is currently seeking an experienced Finishing Supervisor to join a major Dublin residential project.

The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing all internal and external finishing works across large-scale residential blocks, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
This role is ideally suited to a trade-qualified professional, particularly from a carpentry background, with strong residential finishing experience and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all finishing trades including carpentry, joinery, drylining, painting, tiling, flooring, kitchens, wardrobes, and final fit-out works
- Supervise subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification
- Ensure all finishes meet the highest quality standards and client expectations
- Carry out snagging inspections, manage snag lists, and drive close-out works
- Coordinate closely with Site Management, Project Management, design teams, and subcontractors
- Monitor programme progress and identify/report delays or issues
- Maintain strong Health & Safety standards and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Maintain accurate site records, inspections, and progress reporting
- Assist with final handovers, inspections, and client walkthroughs
Requirements
- 6+ years’ site management or finishing experience
- Proven experience as a Finishing Supervisor, Finishing Foreman, or Senior Carpenter on residential projects
- Previous main contractor experience preferred
- Strong understanding of finishing trades and high-quality residential finishes
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction schedules
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach
- Good knowledge of Irish building regulations and Health & Safety requirements
- Ability to manage multiple trades and work within fast-paced site environments
- Trade background or relevant construction qualification preferred
