We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to join an award-winning construction team on a major large-scale mixed-use development in Galway.

Review the design and associated programme of works in conjunction with the Senior Engineer and wider project team on a complex, multi-phase mixed-use development.
Take instruction from the Senior Engineer and take responsibility for understanding both short-term and long-term construction priorities across residential, commercial, hotel, and infrastructure elements. Continuously monitor progress and adapt to programme changes in a proactive and timely manner.
Communicate daily with the Senior Engineer and wider site team to ensure alignment on priorities across multiple work packages and contractors.
Liaise with the Senior Engineer to ensure all required construction information is available to deliver works efficiently across multiple building zones and interfaces.
Understand programme sequencing across all elements of the development and proactively identify risks relating to design information delays, reporting these early.
Under direction, carry out setting out and dimensional control across various elements of the project, ensuring accuracy and coordination across multiple structures and interfaces.
Agree primary control points with the Senior Engineer and implement robust monitoring systems to maintain accuracy across the site.
Support technical submissions by providing timely information within your area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with programme requirements and approval timelines.
Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) across all packages, ensuring hold points and quality requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
Assist in the preparation of method statements and risk assessments with the wider team, ensuring buildability, sequencing, and safe systems of work are prioritised at all times.
Carry out inspections of works as required under direction, ensuring compliance with design, specification, and quality standards.
Maintain a detailed site diary and ensure accurate record keeping across all site activities, including any issues that may impact programme, cost, or quality.
Immediately flag any design coordination issues or interface risks to the Senior Engineer or Design Coordinator and attend weekly coordination meetings.
Implement and support the project quality management system across all trades and work packages, ensuring consistent compliance with project standards.
Ensure subcontractors comply with quality control procedures, including inspection requests and closure of actions prior to progression of subsequent works.
Populate and maintain the NCR register throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring issues are tracked, resolved, and reported to the project and commercial teams.
Support the close-out process by managing snags, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring timely resolution to meet handover deadlines across multiple building areas.
Contribute to lessons learned documentation throughout the project, capturing key learnings from complex multi-phase delivery.
Assist in subcontractor account close-out processes where required.
