An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Structures Site Agent to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a major road and bridge project in Tipperary. This role offers the chance to take ownership of key structural packages on a high-profile infrastructure scheme, working alongside an experienced and collaborative project team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering critical elements of the project, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily site operations, taking responsibility for specific structural work packages.
Drive project delivery by ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Work closely with the Project Manager to support the successful delivery of the project.
Coordinate site activities with foremen, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain productivity and quality.
Ensure works are completed to strict quality standards, delivering defect-free results.
Prepare and implement RAMS, method statements, programmes, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Lead daily coordination and whiteboard meetings to review progress and plan upcoming works.
Support planning and procurement activities, liaising with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
Prepare monthly progress reports and present updates to senior management and clients.
Contribute to the commercial performance of the contract, identifying efficiencies and managing project resources effectively.
Third-level qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
3+ years’ experience as a Site Agent or Senior Engineer on road or bridge construction projects.
Experience working with a main contractor or specialist subcontractor on civil infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of Irish Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, MS Project, and PowerPoint.
Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Ability to review designs, resolve technical challenges, and drive practical solutions on site.
