Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Foreman to join one of our client’s construction teams in the Cork area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring high-quality work on site, ensuring works comply with relevant regulations and the general and specific specifications of the project.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the General Foreman will oversee all general concrete work activities on site and work closely with site personnel to deliver projects to the highest possible standard.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work closely with Health & Safety to ensure a safe and compliant site.

• Plan, coordinate and report on subcontractor performance.

• Monitor the agreed project schedule and provide updates.

• Provide clear direction and motivate colleagues.

• Work effectively as part of the wider project team.

• Oversee general concrete work activities on site.

• Work closely with site personnel to ensure projects are delivered to the highest possible standard.

Requirements

• Extensive background working in similar construction roles.

• Experience managing teams and large volumes of contractors.

• Ability to meet tight timeframes and deadlines.

• Strong leadership skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
