Our client is a family run, key construction contractor who manages various projects in areas such as conservation & restoration, commercial, education, healthcare, healthcare, industrial, pharmaceutical and residential. They are over 100 years in business and have a huge pipeline of projects all across Ireland.

We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Senior Engineer to join an exciting project based in Dublin 1.

This is a new project that will require a few years to complete and it is both to restore and add on to the existing historical buildings in place in Dublin 1.

The successful candidate will join an experienced project team and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of a major construction project to the highest standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate site records, drawings and technical documentation.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Manage, monitor and coordinate site activities in line with contract requirements.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, architects and the wider project team.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractor works and direct labour on a daily basis.
• Manage site setting out and ensure works are delivered accurately.
• Organise site logistics, materials and plant requirements.
• Ensure compliance with BCAR requirements, quality standards and project specifications.
• Carry out regular quality inspections and health & safety checks.
• Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently on site.
• Assist with planning and programming works to meet project milestones.
• Ensure construction activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar Site Engineering role.
• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction processes and standards.
• Experience working on large-scale building projects.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and solve problems effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to delivery.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider project team.
• Proven experience delivering projects from commencement through to completion.
