Site Engineer – Dublin

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a well-established main contractor working on projects across Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected construction company delivering high-quality projects across the residential, commercial, healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day engineering operations on site, ensuring works are completed safely, accurately and in line with project programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the engineering function on site, with particular focus on setting out and ensuring correct levels are maintained.

• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, site management and other project stakeholders.

• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

• Coordinate design information and ensure all necessary details are available for construction.

• Carry out setting out duties and check works for accuracy and compliance with drawings.

• Plan and coordinate site activities to ensure project deadlines are met.

• Assist with ordering materials and monitoring material usage on site.

• Maintain accurate site records, engineering documentation and quality reports.

• Attend regular site meetings and provide updates on engineering progress.

• Support BCAR compliance, quality control and health and safety procedures.

• Identify and resolve technical issues as they arise.

• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, quality standards and health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Site Engineer within the construction industry.

• Strong setting out experience and ability to interpret technical drawings.

• Good understanding of construction methods, site procedures and quality standards.

• Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working with consultants, subcontractors and site management teams.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
