The Opportunity

Our client, one of Ireland’s leading Tier 1 main contractors, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the delivery team on the new Curragh Community College development in Co. Kildare.

This landmark education project will provide a state-of-the-art secondary school for 1,000 students on the Magee Barracks site, delivering much-needed educational infrastructure for South Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with a strong pipeline of education, healthcare, commercial and residential projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, direct labour and site personnel.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures, RAMS and site inductions.
• Monitor construction progress against programme, identifying and resolving any delays.
• Maintain quality assurance standards through inspections, ITPs and QA documentation.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Quantity Surveyor and design team to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Coordinate logistics, deliveries, welfare facilities and site housekeeping.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries and progress reports.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, statutory authorities and stakeholders throughout the project.
• Promote a positive safety culture and maintain exceptional site standards.

Requirements

• Construction-related Degree or equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Site Manager with a Main Contractor in Ireland or the UK.
• Proven track record delivering €10m+ construction projects.
• Previous experience on education, commercial, healthcare or large residential projects is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Excellent understanding of Irish Health & Safety regulations and quality management systems.
• Ability to drive programmes while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
