We are seeking an experienced and proactive SHEQ Advisor to join a leading construction team in the Limerick region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety professional to join a growing organisation delivering high-quality construction projects, while playing a key role in maintaining and improving Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality standards across all stages of project delivery.

The Role

Working closely with the SHEQ Manager and Project Management Team, you will support site teams in implementing best practice SHEQ systems, ensuring compliance with legislation, company procedures, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project teams in the practical implementation of SHEQ systems on site.
  • Prepare and maintain SHEQ documentation including RAMS, Health & Safety Plans, Environmental Plans, and Quality Plans.
  • Review subcontractor RAMS and documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
  • Monitor SHEQ performance and report findings to senior management.
  • Attend SHEQ meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate SHEQ records, reports, and statistics.
  • Work closely with site teams and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Support the ongoing development of health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in a SHEQ, Health & Safety, or Environmental role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish construction health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with project teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SHEQ reporting systems.
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, Diploma, or equivalent) desirable.
