As Site Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering projects safely, accurately and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with the Senior Engineer, Project Manager and wider construction team, you’ll ensure works are delivered in line with programme, design, quality and safety requirements while taking ownership of setting out, engineering control and site coordination.
This is a hands-on position offering genuine responsibility from day one.
Carry out setting out and dimensional control using Total Station, GPS and surveying equipment.
Review construction drawings, specifications and technical information before works commence.
Ensure all works are completed in accordance with approved drawings and project specifications.
Coordinate daily with the Senior Engineer, subcontractors and site management team.
Monitor construction progress against programme and proactively identify potential issues.
Assist with technical queries and design coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain accurate site records, engineering documentation and daily site diaries.
Carry out quality inspections and ensure Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) are followed.
Assist with method statements, risk assessments and quality documentation.
Manage and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely close-out.
Support subcontractor coordination and quality control on site.
Assist with project handover, snagging and final completion.
Degree or qualification in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline.
Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on Irish construction projects.
Strong setting out experience using Total Station, GPS and surveying equipment.
Experience working with a main contractor is highly desirable.
Good understanding of QA procedures, construction sequencing and site operations.
Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical information.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Full driving licence preferred.
