Contracts Manager – Dublin

A highly respected and established Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing Dublin-based team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple live construction projects while supporting Project Managers, Site Teams, Commercial Departments, and Clients throughout the full project lifecycle.

You will provide leadership across all aspects of project delivery including programme management, commercial oversight, health & safety, quality assurance, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Operational Management

• Oversee multiple projects from pre-construction to handover
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget
• Coordinate effectively with Project Managers, Site Teams, Consultants, and Clients
• Monitor site performance, logistics, and construction progress
• Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and close-out sessions
• Drive collaboration across all trades and disciplines

Programme Management

• Monitor construction programmes and identify risks or delays early
• Implement mitigation and recovery plans where required
• Ensure subcontractors meet programme milestones and deliverables
• Maintain accurate project reporting and progress tracking
• Manage delays and contractual notices where necessary

Commercial Oversight

• Work closely with Commercial and Project teams to control budgets and costs
• Review procurement schedules and subcontract packages
• Identify commercial risks and support effective cost management
• Assist with the resolution of variations, claims, and contractual matters

Health & Safety

• Promote a strong health & safety culture across all projects
• Ensure full compliance with company procedures and Irish regulations
• Support site audits, inspections, and incident investigations
• Drive best practice standards across all sites

Quality & Handover

• Ensure high-quality delivery standards are maintained throughout each project
• Oversee QA processes, inspections, snagging, and final handovers
• Ensure all project documentation and compliance records are completed correctly

Leadership & Communication

• Provide support and leadership to Project Managers and site teams
• Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
• Maintain clear communication across all departments and stakeholders
• Support team development and performance management

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager with a Main Contractor
• Strong track record delivering large-scale construction projects
• Excellent knowledge of Irish construction regulations and BCAR
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Relevant construction qualification preferred
