Project Manager – Dublin

Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a leading main contractor delivering large-scale residential and mixed-use developments in Dublin.

This role will suit a driven construction professional with strong technical and operational experience managing complex projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading multidisciplinary teams, managing programme delivery, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Projects will include high-density residential developments, RC frame structures, mixed-use schemes, healthcare elements, refurbishment works, and major urban construction packages.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of major construction projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
  • Develop and manage master project programmes, sequencing strategies, and logistics plans
  • Coordinate design teams and subcontractors to ensure timely release of information and resolution of technical queries
  • Chair project, coordination, and subcontractor meetings
  • Implement project controls including reporting, progress tracking, risk management, and quality assurance
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure works are delivered in line with programme and specification
  • Work closely with commercial teams on budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and cost control
  • Manage subcontractor packages and support procurement processes
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, BCAR requirements, and company procedures
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
  • Produce regular project reports and KPI updates for senior management
  • Lead and mentor project teams including Site Managers, Engineers, and support staff
  • Promote a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years’ experience in a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager role with a main contractor
  • Proven track record delivering medium-to-large construction projects (€10m–€150m+)
  • Strong experience across residential, RC frame, mixed-use, healthcare, hotel, or large urban developments
  • Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Excellent understanding of Irish building regulations, BCAR, and modern construction methodologies
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets, contracts, and procurement
  • Proficient with project management and reporting software
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage fast-paced, technically challenging projects and drive programme delivery
